Third Installment in the LEGO Star Wars Series Announced

Lucas Arts and TT Games today announced the next chapter in the LEGO Star Wars Series. LEGO Star Wars: The Clone Wars will comprise of a combination of the best features from the previous LEGO Star Wars games, as well as brand new features.

The Clone Wars is being developed by Telltales (previously Travellers Tales), with the same team that created the LEGO Star Wars series as well as the LEGO Indiana Jones series. “LucasArts is an amazing partner, and working with them on the next iteration of the LEGO Star Wars series continues to be a great experience,” said Tom Stone, director at TT Games. “The team at TT is working hard at making this simply the best LEGO game ever with all new gameplay and features never before seen in a LEGO game.”

The Clone Wars will include all the characters from both seasons of the popular Star Wars television series, as well as some new characters suggested by fans. New features include brand new battle modes such as head-to-head combat, and an improved level creator. Players can play as a Jedi or Seperatist, both with new character abilities accessed through an easy-to-navigate hub.

The Clone Wars will be available August 2010 on the Wii, Nintendo DS, Playstation 3, PSP and Xbox 360. For more information, be sure to check out the Star Wars: The Clone Wars Website
